PUBLIC NOTICE CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF THE VALUATION ROLL 2017-2022

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section49 (1)(a)(i) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act No 6 of 2004 as amended, hereinafter referred to as the “Act”, that the Valuation Roll for the Financial years 2017-2022 is open for public inspection at the Dihlabeng Municipality Offices mentioned below and on website www.dihlabeng.gov.za from Monday, 27 February 2017 to Friday, 07 April 2017.
An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49 (1)(a)(ii) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who desires should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the Valuation Roll within the abovementioned period.
Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the Valuation Roll as such.
The forms for the lodging of an objection are obtainable at the following addresses during normal office hours:
1. Revenue Section, Municipal Headquarters Offices next to Pick n Pay, Muller Street.
2. Municipal Office, Market Street, Clarens
3. Municipal Office, Heyns Street, Fouriesburg
4. Municipal Office, Voortrekker Street, Paul Roux
5. Municipal Office, Botha Street, Rosendal

The original, correct, completed and signed objection forms must be returned to the abovementioned offices or be posted to: The Municipal Manager, Property Valuations, P O Box 551, Bethlehem, 9700.
No telephonic, facsimile or e-mail enquiries will be accepted.
Late or incomplete objections will not be considered.
