Bethlehem Air show is the only air show in the Free State; an annual event that has been organized since 1999, it is aimed at attracting tourists in the region and increasing the tourism visibility of Dihlabeng. The objective of the event revolves around the local community being active in development, promoting social cohesion, redressing historical iniquities, building capabilities by introducing aviation careers to students and broadening economic opportunities for all South Africans. In 2007 Bethlehem Air Show was amongst the top four air shows in South Africa and attracts more than 10 000 tourist from the corners of Eastern Free State. The main sponsor of the Bethlehem Airshow is Dihlabeng Local Municipality.
The annual Bethlehem Airshow takes place during the month of August and takes two days. The 1st day is preparation, setups and gala dinner (Friday) and 2nd day is main event (Saturday)
